What Our Valued Customers Have To Say

Marston J. Fortress Sr. from Escanaba, MI

As evidenced by the attached invoice, I stopped at your business on June 26th, 2014. Upon arriving I acknowledged that I was right on top of your closing time. Your service desk lady was very accommodating.

When hearing of my need she said the service techs had just left, but she immediately ran to the shop and asked one of them to help me. One did ... professionally, efficiently, and with very good humor.

In a day when "service" is spoken of in the past tense, your team performed up to and surpassed the traditional definition. Please extend to your people my thanks, and recognize them appropriately.

Your truly,

Joe Kollman from Unknown

I recently purchased an awning from your company and there turned out to be some shipping issues that cropped up.

I just wanted to let you know that Eric did a GREAT job for me! Every time I would start to wonder about the order, my phone would ring and it was Eric letting me know what was up and what I could expect.

I don't know if I have ever had this great of service before from a phone/internet order.

Just thought I would let you know

Andrew Miller from Gwinn, MI

Dear Michelle,

I wish to thank you and the management team for the quick attention to my recent complaint.

Though I didn't get the bullet splices I wanted installed, I am happy with the way the technician cleaned up the wiring mess and the refund and gift card I received. It is good to know you are concerned with customer satisfaction and your company's reputation.

I have related this to other campers so they will know you stand behind your employees work.

Once again thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Andrew Miller

Becky Dietzler from Oconto, WI

Hi there,

My name is Becky and I own a pop-up camper (2001 Coleman Utah) that I purchased from Van Boxtel in Green Bay. Since I have purchased this camper I have been the most unsatisfied customer in the world. I have dealt with Van Boxtel the whole time trying to get some customer service out of them. They are truly terrible!

Recently I was having problems with my water pump in my camper. To no avail I called Van Boxtel. Same scenario, pardon my French, but customer service there sucks. I got furious with them and decided to call Hilltop RV to see if I couldn't find someone there that would help me. I did, her name is Tammy and she is the most helpful person in the world. She started off by calling Fleetwood for me to see if she could locate the part number for the water pump. That didn't work because they must have been really busy that day, she waited on hold for 40 minutes. Then she asked another employee of Hilltop Rv (Jerry) if all water pumps are standard in a pop up, he said "yes, they are." She then mailed out what was thought to be the right pump. It wasn't. I called her the next day (talked with Jerry, Tammy was on vacation). Jerry left her a note to call me the next day and told her that it wasn't the right one so she called Fleetwood back again. She got the part number and mailed it out to me right away.

Customer service through Hilltop RV is wonderful. You have the most helpful employees around, please don't let them leave you.

If in the future I plan to trade this camper in and upgrade, you can bet that I will be coming up to Escanaba to do business with you.

I thank you so very much and keep up the great work!

Jim Ralston from Rochester Hills, MI

Dear Mr. Swanson,

I want to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Hilltop RV in Ishpeming for their excellent service to us while we were traveling through the U.P.

We experienced some plumbing problems in our coach and stopped in Marquette at the Michigan Travel Center to ask where we might find an RV service facility.

We were given Hilltop's number and we called and spoke with Mr. Jim Gresham who told us he would try to fit us into the schedule. Upon arrival and initial discussion, Jim assigned Shawn to see what he could determine. Within minutes, Shawn found the problem and said he could remedy it quickly. He did so, tested the system, found no leaking and buttoned up the piping. Jim Gresham sent us on our way very satisfied.

Unknown to us, a severe storm was approaching the U.P. We stayed at Lake Michigamme for the night only to have our power go out. Thinking it was a problem in our coach, I tried to find and check the various fuses. Finding no problem, we retired for the night. In the morning, we had no furnace. Even with the generator running, we had no heat. I called Jim from the campground and told him we were returning.

Again, within minutes he had Kirk looking for a problem. After the usual inspection and some head scratching, I informed Kirk that I had tried to check the fuse box the previous evening. It didn't take Kirk long to find that I had put one of the fuses back in the wrong slot. We now had a furnace.

Please know that you have a tremendous staff in Ishpeming that we will forever be indebted to for their assistance. The rest of the trip was uneventful and full of great U.P. hospitality.
